Tub Insertion Densometer or TID

Our Liquid Tub Insertion Density Meter are available in short or long stem versions and are tuning fork density meters designed to operate in pipe-lines and tanks in one of two configurations.  The standard version outputs frequency and temperature signals that can be connected to either a signal converter whilst the transmitter meters support two head-mounted analog outputs and RS485 Modbus communications. Based on these inputs, output parameters such as Specific Gravity, %solids, %volume concentration.

Key Benefits

  •   Our insertion liquid density meter is designed for tank and pipeline applications
  •   Long stem density meter is available in lengths up to 13ft (4m) and is suitable for open and closed tanks
  •   Wetted parts 316L stainless steel, nickel alloy, Monel, Titanium & Zirconium
  •   Pressure rating to 3000 psi (207 bar) for short stem, 1450 psi (100 bar) for long stem versions
  •   Temperate range -60°F to +392°F (-50°C to +200°C)
  •   Density accuracy ±0.001g/cc (±1.0kg/m3) (±0.06 lb/ft3)
  •   Hazardous area approved (CSA and ATEX)
  •   Rugged and reliable, direct insertion meters with very low maintenance to deliver confidence and savings
  •   On-site accredited density laboratory ensures guaranteed performance
  •   From density and temperature signals, a range of parameters can be measured including specific gravity, % solids, %   volume concentration delivering flexibility for your operation
  •   Range of corrosion-resistant materials, process connections, and stem lengths deliver just what is required for the application
  •   Optimized design that is insensitive to vibration, temperature and pressure variations
